Despite the fact that high salaries have been recorded among military personnel in recent years, individuals in the IT sector continue to receive the highest pay from employers.

This was disclosed by the Director of the State Employment Service, Yulia Zhovtiak, in an interview with RBK-Ukraine. According to her, high salaries in Ukraine can currently be categorized into those offered in military and non-military fields.

When asked by the correspondent if there are people in Ukraine earning 100,000 hryvnias, Zhovtiak responded that military personnel currently earn the most. However, among non-military enterprises, it is the IT sector that leads. Significant salaries are also observed in real estate, transportation, logistics, and HR.

"High salaries are received by technicians of various equipment and operators of CNC machines. Their earnings reach 80-100 thousand hryvnias. Engineering professions start at a minimum of 100 thousand hryvnias. Decent salaries are found in the agricultural sector," said the director.

She explains that the trend of rising salaries in enterprises is linked to a decrease in the number of specialists, leading businesses to increase wages. At the same time, according to Zhovtiak's forecasts, after the war concludes, a drop in salaries should not be expected.

"Salaries will not fall because the laws of demographics and competition always apply. We cannot escape competition with our European neighbors. In the long term, salaries in Ukraine should rise, maintaining their current structure. For in-demand specialties, salaries will only continue to increase," Yulia Zhovtiak stated.

Additionally, according to the director, more than 68% of military personnel surveyed want to become entrepreneurs and work for themselves after demobilization.

"Last year, we opened 80 'Made in Ukraine' offices based on our regional employment centers, where we consult citizens and businesses on all available opportunities regarding loans, grants, various compensations, and personnel recruitment," she said.

These centers assist individuals in starting their own businesses by creating business plans and providing guidance at various stages of preparation and franchise launch. For instance, the first 'Made in Ukraine' office was opened in Sumy in March 2024. Today, they are operational in almost all regional and district centers, as well as in Kyiv.

Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that decent salaries are being offered in Kyiv along with reservations for one of the vacancies.
