A new center in northern Norway will train British, American, and Dutch paratroopers. This was reported by Newsweek, as conveyed by UNN.

Details

Norway has opened a paratrooper operations center that will provide military training. This initiative is part of NATO's ongoing efforts to strengthen its operations along the border with Russia in the Arctic.

It is noted that the center was established in Serreys, located in the northern part of the country. It will facilitate the training of paratroops for British, American, and Dutch personnel.

Serreys is situated near the fjord of the same name, with a population of around 3,500 people. This municipality has a significant military presence.

One of the first to visit the Norwegian defense facility was Bjorn Arild Gram.

The Norwegian Ministry of Defense stated that the allied paratrooper center will be able to accommodate several hundred soldiers and will include living quarters, kitchens, and operational areas.

Norway does not have its own paratrooper forces; however, some of its key army units and special forces are stationed in this region.

Reminder

Norway has agreed to take on part of the responsibility for securing the main transit hub of foreign military aid to Ukraine, which passes through Poland.
