The period of "winter warmth" is still ongoing, and the unusual mild temperatures will persist for a few more days. Therefore, the weather in Ukraine on January 29 will be similar to that of the previous day.
This is stated in the forecast by Ukrhydrometcenter. Meteorologists indicate that on Wednesday, most of the country should expect dry weather with variable cloudiness. However, light precipitation is possible in the west.
Despite the chance of rain, the western regions will continue to experience abnormally high temperatures, with thermometers showing +9…+13 degrees during the day and +4…+7 at night.
Similar temperatures can be seen in the south and east, although no precipitation is expected there. In the central and northern parts, it will be a few degrees cooler—ranging from +6 to +10 during the day, and +3 to +6 at night.
According to meteorologists' expectations, the first signs of cooling will be observed as early as January 30, when the temperature drops by several degrees. However, the real cold snap will arrive starting February 1, when thermometers are expected to return to around zero degrees.
We remind you that meteorologist Igor Kibalchich explained the origin of the "April-like" warmth in January. According to him, an abnormally warm air mass from the Balkan Peninsula and the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea has entered Ukraine.
