The leaders of the 20 largest economies in the world issued a statement expressing concern over the escalation of the war in Ukraine and Gaza, while emphasizing the importance of international collaboration to tackle global issues such as climate change, poverty reduction, and tax policy improvement.

The G20 summit served as a crucial platform for discussing pressing global issues. Leaders gathered against a backdrop of significant political changes worldwide, particularly considering Donald Trump's upcoming inauguration as President of the United States in January 2025. One of the central topics on the agenda was the war in Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

Highlighting the "human suffering" and severe economic repercussions of the war in Ukraine, summit participants called for an immediate cessation of violence and humanitarian assistance. Specifically, the statement noted the "deep concern" regarding the catastrophic situation in Gaza, with G20 countries urging for an urgent ceasefire, protection of civilians, and increased international support for the region.

However, despite the challenges in formulating common positions, particularly following recent massive airstrikes by Russia on Ukraine, participants managed to reach an agreement on the humanitarian aspects of the conflicts.

Regarding other global issues, leaders reaffirmed the necessity for closer cooperation in combating climate change, particularly through reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting sustainable technologies. They also discussed tax policy matters, emphasizing the importance of its improvement to achieve greater global equity.
