Details

"Porcelain War" (Porcelain War) was created in co-production between the USA, Ukraine, and Australia. The film is directed by American Brendan Bellomo and Ukrainian Slava Leontiev, who is also one of the main characters.

This film tells the story of three artists from Kharkiv who remain in the frontline city despite the threat of encirclement and capture by Russian troops. In spite of the danger, they fill the city with art: they create porcelain figurines to decorate homes destroyed by Russian shelling.

The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2024, where it won the grand prize for documentary films. It has already garnered 37 awards and 27 nominations at international film festivals.

The short film "Once Upon a Time in Ukraine" (Once upon a Time in Ukraine), directed by Betsy West, focuses on the lives of children in wartime and has made the shortlist for "Best Documentary Short Film." The film was produced in co-production between Ukraine and the USA.
