Analysts conducted a study
During the five years of the work of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky exercised his veto right 46 times. At the same time, in 70 percent of cases, the proposals from the Head of State were supported by the parliament, while the rest are awaiting consideration.
This was reported by Movement CHESNO.
As analysts note, the President most frequently vetoed bills that proposed changes in legal policy and sectoral development, while he least vetoed bills that suggested changes in the fields of security and defense, as well as state building.
It is worth noting, according to studies, during the five-year term of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine IX convocation, more than half of the working time of plenary sessions was spent by members of parliament on reviewing amendments to draft laws.
