The website of the Ukrainian parliament has consistently ranked at the top for several years.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine's site has made it into the top three among all parliamentary websites globally based on monthly views.
This was reported by Movement CHESNO.
According to analysts, in December of last year, the website of the Ukrainian parliament received over 7.5 million views. The UK Parliament's site ranked second with 7.8 million views, while the US Congress website took the top spot with 8.07 million views.
Interestingly, over 94% of the audience for the VRU website consists of users from Ukraine. This is not surprising; as experts note, in other parliaments worldwide, the trend is similar, as citizens of those countries primarily visit their respective sites.
In addition to the audience from Ukraine, visitors to the VRU website come from Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, and the USA.
It is worth mentioning that despite the full-scale war waged by Russia against Ukraine, the restrictions of martial law, ongoing electricity issues, and a host of other challenges, the website of the Verkhovna Rada has maintained its leading position in terms of views among other parliamentary websites worldwide since 2016.
In contrast, the Russian State Duma's website, with a figure of 1.7 million views in December 2024, did not even make it into the top 10 countries by the number of visits.
It should be noted that according to research findings, the draft laws from the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on Ukraine's Integration into the European Union have the highest support in the parliament, while the regulatory committee found itself among the outsiders.
