The United States of America aims to appease Russian leader Vladimir Putin to achieve quick success; however, a ceasefire is not a success, emphasizes Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky
The Head of State made this statement in an interview with the German broadcasting consortium ARD.
“The problem is that the US is currently saying things that Putin really likes. I believe this is the crux of the matter, as they want to please him, you know why? To meet face-to-face and achieve quick success. But what they want is merely a ceasefire, and that is not a success.”
Volodymyr Zelensky reiterated that Ukraine will not legally renounce its territories and will not sign any agreements "just for the sake of loud applause."
Today, February 18, Russian-American negotiations took place in Riyadh, which lasted 4.5 hours. According to foreign media reports, Moscow and Washington will work to create conditions for a meeting between Putin and Donald Trump. It is said that Russia and the US have agreed to advance bilateral relations.
