The new President of the United States has taken office

Yesterday, the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, took the oath of allegiance to the American people.

In his half-hour speech marking his inauguration, the new occupant of the White House emphasized the dawn of a new era of change for the U.S. under his leadership, which he promised would be a "revolution of common sense," making the country the best in the world, one that "everyone will envy."

"Every day of the Trump administration, I will put America first," Donald Trump assured.

First and foremost, he pledged to combat illegal immigration and criminal cartels by sending their representatives back to their countries of origin. In this context, the American president plans to declare a state of emergency at the southern border of the U.S. and deploy law enforcement there.

Additionally, the president stressed that one of his first executive orders will declare a state of emergency in the energy sector. As a result, the U.S. oil refining industry will enter an era of increased resource extraction.

At the same time, Trump assured that he would immediately end censorship in the country and restore freedom of speech.

The U.S. leader also confirmed his intention to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the "Gulf of America" and to regain control of the Panama Canal for the U.S., while sending American astronauts to Mars.

In his speech, Trump repeatedly emphasized that the security of the U.S. will be at the top of his agenda and will contribute to peace in the world. However, he did not mention the war in Ukraine.

"Our strength will stop all wars and bring a new spirit of unity to a world that has been evil, cruel, and utterly unpredictable. America will be respected and admired again… We will thrive. We will take pride. We will be strong, and we will win like never before," Donald Trump promised his people.

First interviews and executive orders

Regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war, the U.S. president later mentioned it in a brief interview with journalists in the Oval Office.

"We will try to do this as quickly as possible. You know, the war with Ukraine and Russia should never have started," Trump stated.

He also noted that he hopes to meet with Russian dictator Putin after negotiations between the teams are established, adding that the process is already underway.

The new U.S. leader issued his first executive orders, which pertain to the energy sector of the economy, particularly increasing quotas for oil and gas extraction, combating illegal immigration and drug crime, as well as withdrawing the U.S. from the World Health Organization.

Reaction from Ukraine

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, congratulated his American counterpart on taking office.

"The inauguration of the new President of the United States, Donald Trump. He is a strong man. I wish President Trump and all of America success. Ukrainians are ready to work together with Americans to achieve peace, real peace. This is an opportunity that must be seized," Volodymyr Zelensky said.

It should be noted, Donald Trump's special representative for Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg, stated that he is ready to ensure peace through strength.
