The first Mirage 2000 fighter jets have arrived in Ukraine, a transfer that was announced six months ago by French President Emmanuel Macron.

This was reported on social media X by French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
“On June 6, Emmanuel Macron announced the transfer of French 'Mirage 2000' jets to Ukraine. The first of them arrived today in Ukraine. They are being operated by Ukrainian pilots who have trained in France over the past months, and they will now participate in the defense of Ukrainian airspace,” the minister wrote.
The exact number of French fighter jets that arrived in Ukraine was not specified by Lecornu.
