Thousands of viewers missed the Oscars 2025 due to a malfunction in the Hulu service.
The streaming service Hulu, owned by Walt Disney Co., experienced technical difficulties during the Oscar awards ceremony, causing tens of thousands of customers to be unable to view the event for an extended period. This was reported by UNN citing Bloomberg.

Hulu broadcast the event for the first time. Some users reported that they were able to receive a signal more than an hour and a half after the broadcast began.
A Disney representative noted that the company is "aware that some users are experiencing login issues."
"The team is actively investigating and working on a solution to the problem. We hope to resume operations soon," the company stated.
