The Russian occupiers have managed to significantly alter the entire operational and tactical situation in the area of Velyka Novosilka, which is a key defense point for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Vremivka direction, creating a serious threat to the AFU's defense across the section from Kurakhovo to Velyka Novosilka.
This was reported by military analyst and coordinator of the "Information Resistance" group, Konstantin Moshovets, on his Telegram channel here.
According to the military expert, the occupiers have succeeded in breaking through at several tactically significant directions, particularly Shakhtarske - Razdolne and Zolota Niva - Velyka Novosilka.
Moreover, the enemy plans to advance in the direction of Shakhtarske - Velyka Novosilka to increase pressure on the left flank of the tactical group of AFU troops defending in the area of Velyka Novosilka and Vremivka, as well as in the direction of Yasna Polyana - Razliv, to support the troops advancing on Kurakhovo from the east and south.
In the expert's opinion, the command of the Russian occupation forces intends to solve the problem of capturing Kurakhovo by breaking through their strike groups in the area of the settlements of Andriivka and Konstantynopol.
"However, this does not negate the fact that 'in the process' they can address a whole series of tactical tasks - such as in the 'East' operational zone, attempting to push the AFU defense further south of Velyka Novosilka (essentially reclaiming everything that the AFU managed to liberate during its offensive in 2023)," added Konstantin Moshovets.
