The first stage of voting for the Junior Eurovision 2024 began on November 15 at 21:00. You can vote for the representative from your country. This is reported by Eurovision Ukraine on Telegram, as conveyed by UNN.
Details
The 22nd Junior Eurovision Song Contest is taking place for the first time in history in Madrid at the Caja Mágica arena. Ukraine will be represented by 12-year-old Artem Kotenko from the city of Akhtyrka in the Sumy region. Artem will perform under number 14 with the song Hear Me Now ("HOME").
The song was written by the music producer of Junior Eurovision, Svitlana Tarabarova. The song is dedicated to the theme of home as a place of strength and warm feelings, providing a sense of comfort and safety, especially for Ukrainians who have lost or left their homes due to the war.
In the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, representatives from 17 countries will compete. The winner will be determined based on the voting results from viewers (50%) and the jury from 17 participating countries (50%).
Reminder
This year, applications for participation in Ukraine's national selection for the Junior Eurovision 2024 were accepted under simplified rules, allowing artists to present covers and video presentations without requiring an original song.
