Boxing legend in the heavyweight division, Mike Tyson, slapped the blogger-boxer Jake Paul during a tense weigh-in ceremony ahead of their controversial heavyweight fight on Friday in Texas, reports UNN citing BBC Sport.
Details
Rookie boxer Paul, 27, will face the 58-year-old Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
After both men squared off, Paul crawled on the floor before rising to meet Tyson's gaze for the traditional final face-off.
Tyson had largely refused to respond to Paul's provocations throughout the week, but he struck his opponent in the face, prompting security and team members to rush in to separate the fighters.
“The talk is over,” Tyson said as he left the stage. Meanwhile, Paul smiled before sitting down and appeared to meditate.
“I didn't even feel that. He's angry. He's a little angry elf,” Paul said of the slap.
“Mike Tyson, I thought that was a nice slap, buddy, but you're getting knocked out tomorrow,” he pointed out.
