Russian occupiers have intensified their attacks on Ukrainian cities, widely employing strike drones and altering their tactics.
This may indicate that the Russians have succeeded in establishing drone production, noted national security expert and serviceman Ivan Varchenko during a broadcast on uatv.
Furthermore, the increase in attacks suggests a possible accumulation of missiles by the Russians for future large-scale shelling. According to Varchenko, in September, the Russian army launched about 40-45 "Shaheds" daily, but this number rose to 70 in October and continues to grow since the beginning of November.
"The increased use of drones coincides with a significant decrease in missile launches, which may be linked to their buildup for a major assault. The enemy is likely waiting for the right moment to strike with maximum force. For this reason, Ukrainians must be prepared for mass shelling at any time," the expert noted.
Varchenko emphasized that the daily strikes of "Shaheds" aim to weaken Ukraine's missile and air defense, and to some extent, the occupiers are succeeding.
"We now have less costly methods to combat "Shaheds" than in previous years. In addition to using expensive air defense systems, the Armed Forces of Ukraine utilize concentrated fire from small arms and other means, which enhances the effectiveness of defense," Varchenko added.
