English producers Mike Stock, Matt Aitken, and Pete Waterman have criticized Sabrina Carpenter for her allegedly sexualized image and provocative lyrics, reports UNN citing the Daily Mail.
The 25-year-old singer Sabrina Carpenter has become the target of criticism from the trio of English producers Mike Stock, Matt Aitken, and Pete Waterman.
The "music moguls" described her sexual image as "lazy," while 78-year-old Pete Waterman stated that the singer's style, which resembles that of a "little girl," is "offensive." In his opinion, Carpenter should not sexualize her image, as her talent speaks for itself.
Mike Stock commented to the "Sun" that modern female artists, in his view, undermine the rights women have gained by showcasing an excessively provocative appearance.
For his part, Pete added: "If you want respect, don’t show up in a thong."
In addition to Sabrina's appearance, her songs have also come under scrutiny. The producers pointed out tracks like "Juno" and "Bed Chem," which mention sexual themes and positions. In this context, they expressed the belief that such lyrics are unnecessary for an artist with genuine talent.
