A toilet saved a man's life: an incredible story of a survivor from Poltava.

Doctors suspected he had a mild concussion.
От туалета до жизни: невероятная история мужчины из Полтавы, который чудом выжил.

On Saturday, February 1, in Poltava, Russians struck a residential building, causing the complete destruction of an entire entrance of a five-story building. As a result of the enemy attack, 14 people lost their lives, including 2 children aged 9 and 12. Additionally, 20 individuals were injured, among them a 3-month-old baby and children aged 2, 8, and 12. However, a young man miraculously survived.

His survival was due to the fact that he was in the bathroom. This was reported by a correspondent from "Telegraph", who visited the site of the strike.

According to her, she met a family in a school shelter, where a headquarters for aiding the victims has been set up. One of the women shared how the man managed to survive.

"18-year-old Anastasia and 19-year-old Pavel got married last year. They chose a mirrored date — 24.04.2024. Three months ago, they moved into a rented one-bedroom apartment on the second floor of that unfortunate first entrance, which no longer exists," the report states.

The young couple was living with Lyuba, Anastasia's grandmother's sister. Around eight in the morning, she sat down in the kitchen to drink coffee and called for Pavel. This action saved him from a worse fate. At the moment of the strike, the young man was in the bathroom, and the sofa he had just vacated moments before was crushed by debris.

The force of the blast ripped the bathroom door off its hinges. Pavel experienced temporary darkness in his vision and dizziness. Medical personnel suspected he had a mild concussion.

The young man was pulled outside wearing only shorts and a T-shirt, while Grandma Lyuba was in a robe and slippers.

Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that a grandfather lost his family due to the strike.
