The end of autumn 2024 in Kyiv is filled with a variety of cultural events: from profound exhibitions to intimate music concerts. UNN has prepared a selection of events that everyone should attend before this magical season comes to a close.
Dance Performance "One on One"
3An extraordinary dance performance dedicated to the theme of choices that each of us makes daily.
The plot revolves around the idea that we constantly face challenges, the scale of which often exceeds our control. When we must tackle a problem alone, it’s crucial to make a choice that we can be proud of.
"In this city, society consists of those who push for action and those who take away dreams. Every resident faces a choice in their own story. And when confronted with a problem One on One, it's about making a choice that one can be proud of," states the announcement.
Interestingly, the project involved 20 professional choreographers from various styles, known for creating shows for famous Ukrainian stars such as Artem Pivovarov, Klavdiya Petrovna, MONATIK, OTOY, YAKTAK, and KRYLATA.

Concert by Pyrog and Knut at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine
4Concert of a band that popularizes the Ukrainian language through their art and breathes new life into the poetry of renowned Ukrainian poets. For instance, the event will feature the song "Gai Shumlyat," based on a poem by Pavlo Tychyna, which has garnered over 20 million listens in a year.
This event will appeal to those who wish to learn more about Ukraine's literary heritage and support the development of contemporary Ukrainian music.

Play "Empire of Angels"
5The play tells the story of a man who, after death, becomes a guardian angel for three individuals: a homeless criminal, a French writer, and a young American woman who is soon to be crowned "Miss Universe." The foundation for the play is based on the famous bestseller by Bernard Werber, often referred to as "Ode to Life." With over 10 million copies sold, it ranks among the most popular books globally.
The production features works by contemporary American and European composers as well as classical pieces, promising unforgettable experiences for the audience.

Exhibition "Origins. To the 125th Anniversary of the Exhibition for the XI Archaeological Congress"
6The uniqueness of this exhibition lies in the fact that it will showcase artifacts that were displayed at the first exhibition of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, presented by Vikentiy Khvoya in 1899. This includes flint tools from the Kyiv-Kyrylov Paleolithic site and Scythian antiquities discovered in burial mounds near Volkovtsy in Sumy Oblast. Additionally, visitors can explore documents related to Vikentiy Khvoya's museum activities, which are preserved in NMHU.

Elena Tur'yanska. Agape. Absolute Love
7The project by Ukrainian artist Elena Tur'yanska consists of her works from 2023-2024. Through her art, the artist captures her own memories and those of others about the events currently experienced by every Ukrainian. Thus, all presented works are infused with personal emotions.
In creating her pieces, the artist utilized both traditional graphic materials and non-artistic ones, such as construction materials (wallpaper, rubber paint, etc.). This was done to convey the contrast between the durability of materials and the uncertainty of memory and recollections, which are closely associated with the concepts of "restoration" and "recovery."

Group Exhibition "Sci-Fi Art"
8Gallery Portal 11, together with 15 contemporary Ukrainian artists, has presented a exhibition in the style of "Sci-Fi Art." This style is closely related to literature and cinema, visualizing scientific or fantastical concepts, ideas, and representations. It is also frequently used to visually express future technologies, space travel, interstellar battles, alien worlds, and science fiction stories and concepts. Therefore, this group exhibition features works by artists showcasing their visions of technological advancements.
