American singer Cher revealed in her memoirs that she lost her virginity at a young age, motivated by a desire to get back at her boyfriend, reports UNN citing Huff Post.

In her new memoirs published last week, Cher recalls the reasons behind losing her virginity at the age of 14, explaining that it was driven by her wish for revenge.

According to excerpts from the memoirs released by the singer, she was in love with a high school senior living in her neighborhood. Their age difference didn't matter when they were alone together; however, in the presence of friends who were older than Cher, the boy treated her like a child.

A turning point occurred when Cher and her boyfriend encountered his friends at a restaurant. They mockingly asked him if he was going to bring along "that little kid." As a result, he simply "dumped" Cher and went to eat with his friends.

“I told him to go home and never come back. I wanted him to feel as humiliated as he made me feel. Even though he kept trying to make amends, I never spoke to him again,” the singer shared.

Currently, Cher is dating 38-year-old musician Alexander "AE" Edwards.
