A three-month-old boy from the Zhytomyr region has set a record in Ukraine (photo).

Mark Tushakovsky from Zvyagel, Zhytomyr region, has been included in the National Register of Records of Ukraine in the category "Longest Hair on an Infant." At just 3 months and 8 days old, he has hair measuring 8 centimeters in length.

The record was officially recorded on February 2 in Zhytomyr. This was reported by Ukrinform.

We are already accustomed to a large number of applications, but when this one came in, we were surprised. We had a long-standing record in the "Longest Hair on an Infant" category, held by a 9-month-old boy with 20-centimeter-long hair. Today, we have officially recognized a new record. 3-month-old Mark Tushakovsky has hair measuring 8 centimeters. Moreover, he is the youngest record holder in the history of the National Register of Records of Ukraine.

The boy underwent three measurements of different sections of his hair, resulting in lengths of 8 cm, 7.5 cm, and 7 cm. The infant's mother, Tatyana Markova, stated that Mark was born on October 25, 2024, with thick light brown hair.

She was inspired to submit the record application by doctors and her social media followers. The woman added that her son will not have his hair cut until he is a year old, after which they will choose an unusual and original hairstyle for him.

As Vetrov noted, male hair is registered for records just as frequently as female hair. In particular, the National Register of Records includes a 12-year-old boy with hair measuring 1 meter and 9 cm, the longest natural male dreadlocks at 1.34 meters, and the longest male braid at 1 meter.
