No new trends have emerged on the front as of now; Russian occupiers continue to attempt advancement using small infantry groups.

This was reported by the chief sergeant of the drone assault company of the 109th battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yegor Firsov, during an interview on "Espresso".

The serviceman explained that his unit, which focuses on drones, primarily destroys enemy equipment, while infantry presents a threatening and unclear target for drone units.

"Because we know how to hit the equipment — we know how to bypass enemy electronic warfare — we have certain secrets. But what to do with moving infantry," emphasized Yegor Firsov.

According to the serviceman, intercepting enemy communications indicates that Russian occupation forces are awaiting worsening weather conditions (precipitation, fog, wind) when our drones operate poorly, making it harder to detect the enemy from the air.

"Thus, they are increasingly using infantry and this variety of orcs. From four to eight orcs in one group, moving quickly at four in the morning, in bad weather – there is currently no universal solution for this issue.

They are working on different types of drones that are more targeted at infantry, which can hover, operate with less noise, and use fragmentation munitions rather than high-explosive or cumulative ones, as was the case with tanks. For infantry, fragmentation munitions need to be used," added Yegor Firsov.
