In Kyiv, a man was trapped when a wall collapsed on him during renovation work. Rescuers had to be called in to extract him.

This was reported by the press service of the capital's State Emergency Service on Facebook. The incident occurred on November 9 at around 12:30 on Yevhen Chykalenko Street (Shevchenkivskyi District).

"In a two-story residential building, during renovation work on the first floor, a wall weighing approximately 500 kg fell on one of the workers, trapping his leg," the report stated.

The man was freed from the rubble using rescue equipment and was then taken to the hospital for further treatment.

Details about the man's condition have not been disclosed; however, judging by the photographs from the scene, he was conscious after the incident, although he was carried out of the building on a stretcher.

As previously reported, a large-scale fire broke out in one of the residential high-rises in Kyiv's Rusanivka (Left Bank). One of the apartments on the upper floors was nearly completely burned out, but firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other areas.
