In Kyiv, an abandoned car is "traveling" through various streets and accumulating its own history. The municipal services are not in a hurry to remove it.

This was noted by journalist Olga Korosteleva on Facebook. According to her, there are about 1,000 abandoned cars in Kyiv that have been left standing on the streets.

"Since the authorities seem to be oblivious to them, I suggest that volunteers create a map of this metal for the officials. Please provide the location. Meanwhile, I will share the adventures of one foreign car that I have been observing for about five years," — she wrote.

According to her, a regular passenger car was parked in the Vertov alley near Ukrtelefilm, but later its license plates were removed, the tires were deflated, and the windows were smashed. After that, it became a shelter for a homeless person, who dragged a bunch of junk into it.

Together with friends, the homeless individual grilled "shashlik" near the car until they started a fire and moved on to other places. After some time, a prestigious car wash opened across from it, and the carcass was moved to the neighboring street, Florence.

Complaints from local residents yielded no results, so the municipal services have yet to take it away.

"But apparently, officials do not know how to read, and they drive on more prestigious roads. Recently, they reported on Facebook that in the Dnipro district, 'work continues actively to ensure the proper sanitary and technical condition of the territories, and efforts are being organized and carried out to eliminate spontaneous dumps. In particular, another large-scale spontaneous garbage dump was cleared in the Desenko forest park area.' So I ask again: maybe there is time in their cleanup schedule for this junk?" — Korosteleva questioned.

As previously reported, on February 1 in Kyiv, during an air raid and the threat of ballistic missile strikes, the guards of the National Aviation University (NAU) closed a shelter for dozens of people with children.
