As a result of a missile attack on Friday, January 31, 19 architectural monuments in Odessa were damaged, prompting a UNESCO mission to visit the city. This was reported by Mayor Gennady Trukhanov, as stated by UNN.
Trukhanov emphasized: "We have already received a response from UNESCO and are expecting a mission to Odessa in the near future."
Reminder
As previously reported by UNN, around 15 historical buildings in the center of Odessa were damaged due to the missile attack by Russia, including the "Bristol" hotel. Among the affected sites are the philharmonic hall and museums protected by UNESCO.
UNESCO has condemned the missile strike on the historic center of Odessa, which damaged cultural buildings under the organization's protection. A special mission is planned to be sent to Ukraine to document the damages and determine response measures.
