In Odessa, a mother fell from the 16th floor while holding her young child.

On the morning of Wednesday, February 5, in the Kyiv district of Odessa, a woman with a child approximately five years old fell from the 16th floor of a residential building. The woman died at the scene.

This was reported by the police of the Odessa region. The child survived and was hospitalized. The identities of the mother and child are being established by the police.

"A forensic investigative team from the territorial police department and juvenile police officers are working at the scene. The legal qualification of the incident will be provided later," the law enforcement officers added.

As reported by "Telegraf," on January 14, in the Kyiv region, a woman fell from the 4th floor of a residential building. The victim was found to have open fractures of her limbs and presumably a spinal fracture.

Additionally, we previously reported that in November of last year, in the Ternopil region, a woman jumped from the fifth floor window. The victim sustained multiple fractures. According to the investigation, the woman attempted suicide after drowning her 2.5-year-old daughter in the bathtub just hours earlier. The woman stated that when she realized what she had done, she tried to revive the child, but nothing worked, leading her to decide to jump out of the window.
