A group of North Korean refugees has delivered leaflets and audio materials to Ukraine, which include calls for desertion among North Korean soldiers, along with instructions on how to accomplish this. This was reported by Yonhap and noted by UNN.
Details
It is highlighted that the propaganda leaflets were handed over to the Ukrainian embassy in Seoul by the "Refugee Propaganda Corps," consisting of former North Korean soldiers who defected to South Korea and those whose sons served in the North Korean army.
These leaflets are intended for distribution among North Korean soldiers in Russia. They contain messages encouraging them to desert, as well as instructions on how to do so. Activists have also provided audio files with similar messages.
Similar propaganda materials are planned to be delivered to Ukrainian soldiers in Brussels, along with a letter urging the use of psychological warfare against North Korean troops.
The letter states that Ukrainian forces could facilitate mass surrender and desertion among North Korean soldiers if they manage to launch a proactive psychological campaign.
