A new bronze sculpture from the "Shukai!" project titled "Return Home" has appeared in Kyiv, as reported by the project, according to UNN.
Details
The miniature sculpture features two trains arriving at the first platform of Kyiv's "Iron Gates." One train carries soldiers from Kramatorsk, while the other comes from abroad. "Thus, the train station becomes a symbolic location for Ukrainians heading home or returning from the front," the project noted. The symbol is placed near the lounge.
The characters depicted in the "Return Home" sculpture have prototypes: a soldier with his wife, who traveled to Kramatorsk by train to find out the gender of their future child; a boy with a toy that was lost on the train and then returned by the railway workers; and a family from Mariupol. However, this tribute is not just to these individuals but to millions of similar stories. Since its unveiling, the sculpture will serve as a reminder of the importance of bringing all Ukrainians home.
