What will prompt Russia to pursue a fair peace? Ukraine has identified two key tools.

To compel Russia to pursue a fair peace, the world must utilize two tools. These include economic and military measures.

This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Andriy Sibiga, in a social media post on X. According to him, these two components will only work together and must be applied with maximum resolve.

He emphasized that the world must significantly increase the cost of warfare for Russia before discussing plans for its conclusion.

"Maximum economic and military pressure involves strict sanctions, full utilization of frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine, and providing Ukraine with specific military assistance in sufficient volumes and on time, so that our warriors can conduct successful military operations," he wrote.

As previously reported, Kyiv is trying to persuade the elected U.S. President Donald Trump of the necessity to "make Russia feel pain" before starting negotiations to settle the war. Otherwise, the Kremlin may become bolder, and such negotiations could lead to disaster.

These words primarily refer to delivering long-range strikes. In particular, Ukraine reminds that it has targeted 46% of all Russian oil industry facilities, as well as numerous military installations.
