The meteorologist noted that the most unstable weather is anticipated in the southern half of the country. There, moderate to occasionally significant precipitation will accompany strong winds.
On Monday, December 23, light to moderate rains are expected in the Left Bank region. In the western and some northern areas, light snow and wet snow are anticipated. The central and southwestern parts of the country will mostly remain dry. Fog is possible in some places. Winds will be variable at 3-8 m/s. Nighttime temperatures in the northern and western regions will range from -4 to +1, while the rest of the territory will see temperatures from 0 to +5. During the day, temperatures will warm up to +1 to +7, with the southern part and Crimea reaching +6 to +11 degrees Celsius.
On Tuesday, December 24, rain and wet snow are expected in the western and some northern areas, while the rest of Ukraine will see little significant precipitation. Heavy snow and light snowstorms are forecasted in the Carpathians during the day. Winds will predominantly come from the eastern sector at 5-10 m/s, with gusts in the south reaching 15-17 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will range from -4 to +1, with the southern regions reaching up to +5; during the day, temperatures will rise to +2 to +8, and +7 to +12 in the southern part and Crimea. In the western regions, temperatures throughout the day will be between -2 and +3, while in the Carpathians, it will be -1 to -6 degrees Celsius.
On Wednesday, December 25, light snow and wet snow may fall in the western regions, with heavy snow expected in the Carpathians. Rain is anticipated in the Odessa and Mykolaiv regions, while the rest of the country will remain mostly dry. Winds will be from the northeast at 7-12 m/s, with isolated gusts in the south reaching 15-20 m/s. Nighttime temperatures are expected to be between -2 and +3, up to +7 in the south; during the day, temperatures will warm to +2 to +8, and +7 to +12 in Crimea. In the Carpathian region, temperatures will be between -2 and -7 degrees Celsius throughout the day.
