In Ukraine, men aged 18 to 24 can sign a one-year contract with the Armed Forces. Those who choose to enlist will take on exclusively combat roles.
There is a clearly defined list of positions available for recruits. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Dmitry Lazutkin, during a telethon, as reported by TSN.
According to him, men aged 18-24 can serve as riflemen, senior riflemen, sniper riflemen, medical riflemen, grenade launcher assistants, grenade launchers, senior grenade launchers, scouts, or senior scouts.
However, these individuals will be thoroughly prepared for service. The training period will include: 45 days of basic training, 14 days of professional training or more, depending on the position, as well as 14 days of adaptation within the brigade.
Earlier, "Telegraph" reported on how many Ukrainians have already applied for the "Contract 18-24." The number of requests recorded in the "Reserve+" app was shared by the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Dmitry Lazutkin.
