March begins with winter weather. Which regions will be affected by snow and frost this Saturday?

The weather in Ukraine this weekend will reflect the typical conditions for early March, although temperatures are rising, wet snow will blanket parts of the country. The warmest weather will be felt most significantly in the western regions.

According to data from the ventusky website, on Saturday, March 1, rain mixed with snow will occur in Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and Vinnytsia regions. It is also possible in some areas of Transcarpathia and Chernivtsi region.

Based on the forecasts from Ukrhydrometcentre, wet snow may also affect the Sumy region. Overnight, temperatures will range from +2 in western Ukraine to -10 in Luhansk region. The day will also be frosty for the east and north (from 0 to -5 degrees), while other regions can expect mild temperatures of 2-7 degrees above zero.

The following day, on Sunday, March 2, rain mixed with snow will spread across a significant portion of Ukraine. Only Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and eastern regions will remain precipitation-free. Overnight temperatures are expected to be between +2 and -9 degrees, while daytime thermometers will show a range from -3 degrees to +7 degrees.

Previously, meteorologist Igor Kibalchich shared with "Telegraph" what the weather will be like in March. According to his forecasts, there will be little precipitation.
