In Dnipro, children decided to follow online trends and scare residents with explosions. They were undeterred by the fact that there is a ban on the use of pyrotechnics in Ukraine, which can lead to serious penalties.
A video was shared by the Telegram channel "Trukha Dnipro". It is claimed that the footage shows the detonation of a "Mole" in the residential area of Solnechny.
"The kids set off a so-called 'Mole'. The sound of the explosion is indistinguishable from the sound of a shell landing, for example, in the suburbs," the message states.
Warning, the video contains profanity.
Internet users also voiced their opinions.
As is known, a "Mole" is a pipe-cleaning agent commonly used in households. When mixed with water and aluminum foil, it reacts, releasing a large amount of gas. If this occurs in a sealed bottle, it can ultimately burst with a loud bang from the pressure built up inside.
Although such firecrackers have been used for decades, their use in major cities today is at least unethical, as many people are already under significant stress due to the realities of war and constant shelling. For this reason, Ukraine has banned the use of pyrotechnics.
The trend of "Mole" explosions originated from, who would have thought, the social media platform TikTok, where numerous videos of their creation and detonation have surfaced recently. Not everyone escapes unscathed; for instance, in Lviv, three children aged 10, 11, and 15 were hospitalized with serious facial burns just days ago.
According to them, this happened because the mixture spilled during the shaking of the bottle. After all, this substance is meant for clearing pipes from serious clogs that other methods cannot handle, and thus contact with skin can lead to quite "painful" consequences.
