During the martial law in Ukraine, the TCC can mobilize citizens aged 50 years. However, such men are not sent to combat positions.

According to the guidelines and directives, the TCC mobilizes conscripts in the 50+ age category only for military service in support units. Major Larysa Kozak, deputy head of the regional territorial recruitment center in Kyiv, shared this information at a press conference.

"In my experience, I have not seen cases where they were sent to direct combat posts," Kozak noted.

She mentioned that mobilized men aged 50+ are assigned roles as drivers, logisticians, and rear support personnel.

It is important to remind under what circumstances men aged 50 to 60 years can be mobilized and why combat units are not interested in them.

Previously, "Telegraph" reported on where and when military TCC can serve summonses. A lawyer explained whether the military can, for instance, enter the premises of closed residential complexes or issue summonses at checkpoints.

Additionally, every day many citizens try to evade mobilization; however, many others turn to military recruiters and even sign contracts online. Just last week, recruitment centers received 1,808 new inquiries, and through the "Reserve+" application, the Defense Forces received 50,000 responses for 6,000 vacancies.
