"In defense, a war can't be won": Syrsky discussed the advantages of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the Russians.

Ukraine will not be able to achieve victory while remaining constantly on the defensive. Therefore, to win, it needs to utilize innovative systems and launch long-range strikes.

This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrskiy, in an interview with TSN. He noted that in the past year alone, Russians have lost more soldiers than in the two years prior.

According to him, this amounts to 434 thousand Russian military personnel, of which 150 thousand have been eliminated, while the rest have been injured. However, Syrskiy added that if Ukraine remains perpetually on the defensive, it will only continue to lose territory.

"And we are forced to hold the defense practically along the entire front line," he said.

The Commander-in-Chief added that to gain the initiative, Ukraine must implement those strategies where it has the upper hand. In this context, he pointed out that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were the first in the world to establish their own Drone Forces and are currently working on increasing their numbers, while also enhancing their capabilities with not only aerial platforms but also ground ones.

He also noted that Ukraine has the capacity and capability to produce its own air defense system, which will be on par with the American Patriot in terms of capabilities.

Recall that earlier, Syrskiy responded to reports about the transfer of military personnel from air defense to infantry. According to him, this does not concern qualified personnel.
