Despite the severe frosts experienced in the last month of winter, the weather in Ukraine is expected to improve quickly at the beginning of March. In the first days of spring, snow and freezing temperatures may still occur, but a warm-up won't take long to arrive.
This is stated in the forecasts from meteorological websites Sinoptik and Ventusky. According to their information, warm days in the country are anticipated to begin around March 4.
It is worth noting that in the first three days of spring, daytime frosts are likely to be expected only in the eastern and northern regions of Ukraine, though temperatures around +1… +3 are hardly what one would consider a real warm-up.
After that, temperatures in the west will rapidly rise to +10 and above, following which the warm weather will move to the eastern areas.
Night frosts will be quite typical for March, so it is still too early to sleep with the windows open.
As a reminder, the folk forecaster from Volyn, Volodymyr Derkach, shared his insights on what the weather in Ukraine will be like in spring. According to him, March is expected to be quite cool, with a real warm-up only anticipated in May. However, April is expected to bring weather swings with sharp temperature fluctuations.
