On the night of January 29, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with drones, and debris from downed "Shaheds" fell in one of the capital's districts.
The Air Forces had warned about the threat of enemy drone attacks.
"UAVs heading towards Kyiv! UAVs on the border of Chernihiv and Kyiv regions (Kyiv Reservoir), course south," the message stated.
Footage has surfaced online showing the aftermath of the "Shahed" debris falling in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv.
The capital has suffered minor damage, as reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
"Debris from the enemy UAV fell near a metro station in the Darnytskyi district of the capital," the statement said.
As a result of the enemy's morning attack, a fence and a nearby building at the Darnytskyi depot were damaged.
Fortunately, there are no reports of injuries.
Earlier, it was reported that before and after the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump, the Russian Federation did not carry out mass missile attacks on Ukraine.
Military expert and former spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vladyslav Seleznev, believes that the key factor influencing Putin's decision to continue the war against Ukraine is the resource factor, rather than the possibility of negotiating with Trump.
Therefore, according to the expert, "it is futile to entertain illusions that suddenly Putin will become a 'kind grandfather' and abandon his aggression."
Seleznev added that Putin has the resources to attack Ukraine in the future using drones, missiles, and artillery.
