Russians have increasingly begun launching drones at low altitudes to bypass Ukrainian air defense, while the enemy also employs ballistic missiles.
The Chairman of the Reserve Forces of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Ivan Timochko, provided a forecast on whether the enemy will launch a missile strike against Ukraine before Donald Trump's inauguration.
Timochko dismissed the notion that Russia would attempt to link a mass attack on Ukraine to Donald Trump's inauguration.
According to the military official, preparing for missile strikes requires meticulous coordination and resources; such operations are always planned in advance and cannot occur suddenly.
"Will they try to carry out a missile strike and associate it with some symbolic attack? I don’t think so. Because, in reality, missile strikes involving drones are planned ahead of time. This involves preparing the missile, refueling, and preparing the aviation. They also need to select the locations and establish the flight paths for missiles and drones in their air defense systems. It’s a vast array of measures. This is planned in advance," Timochko stated.
The military urged Ukrainians to adhere to safety rules during air raid alerts.
He added that residents of Ukraine should be prepared and not neglect safety during alerts, but rather seek shelter. Where the enemy will target is unknown, posing a significant threat.
