In 2025, Russian occupying forces will strive to maintain the same intensity of fighting as in 2024, and the enemy lacks the resources to increase it.

This was stated by retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, flight instructor, and military expert Roman Svitan in an interview with the Commander-in-Chief.

According to the expert, as early as 2023, Russia reached zero stockpiles of ammunition, which is why they are purchasing them from North Korea and partially from China. By 2025, the Russians will also be nearing zero stockpiles of military equipment.

"This means that all the equipment they still have in their warehouses, from old Soviet stockpiles, will be deployed, restored, sent out, and destroyed on the battlefield. After that, they will operate 'on the fly' – producing a certain amount of equipment. Additionally, they will try to purchase more, likely not from North Korea or Iran, but possibly from Chinese equipment, somehow routed through third countries," Roman Svitan stated.

The military expert noted that Russia has one practically inexhaustible resource left – manpower, which they will be recruiting by increasing monetary compensation and seeking mercenaries from other countries.

Roman Svitan added that the Russians have already utilized nearly all the resources that could have been deployed in large-scale offensive operations during the first three years of the war, so an increase in the intensity of fighting should not be expected.
