Continuing efforts to expand the control zone west of Velyka Novosilka along the right flank, the Russian occupation forces may indeed reach the southeastern outskirts of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Details on this were shared by military-political analyst Oleksandr Kovalenko from the "Information Resistance" group on his Telegram channel.
According to the military expert, while the situation on the left flank from Velyka Novosilka has been extremely unfavorable for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the Ukrainian defenders have managed to restrain Russian troops on the right flank.
Therefore, a partial incursion of the occupiers into the Dnipropetrovsk region is quite possible in the context of developments around Velyka Novosilka, but only as a supplementary action to the offensive in the Vremivka direction, rather than a targeted assault on Dnipro.
Oleksandr Kovalenko noted that Russia is already deploying strategic reserves to address tactical tasks in the Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, and Velyka Novosilka areas, while for an advance on Dnipro, the enemy lacks the capacity for higher-level operational-tactical tasks.
"Under such conditions, it is not feasible to speak of a targeted offensive on Dnipro and the capture of the Dnipropetrovsk region. A partial incursion, encirclement, in case of an expanded control zone along the right flank of Velyka Novosilka is indeed possible, but not an operation aimed at Dnipro," – emphasized Oleksandr Kovalenko.
At the same time, as the expert added, we must not relax or neglect the construction of fortifications, defensive lines, and positions across the entire front in Dnipropetrovsk region.
