The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Marcinkiv, reported on the operation of air defense in the city.
During the night, a series of explosions were heard in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, and it is known that critical infrastructure in the area was targeted by enemy fire.
As a result of the attack, a fire broke out, as reported by the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional military administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk, on Telegram.
"A series of explosions were heard in Prykarpattia. During the night, the enemy attacked the region several times using strike drones. The targets were critical infrastructure facilities. A fire has been recorded. Relevant services are working on-site," the message states.
As of 8 a.m., there have been no reports of casualties in the region.
Earlier, it was reported that on the night of January 27, a Russian drone hit a high-rise building in Dnipro, and the consequences are known.
As a result of the enemy attack, the roof, technical floor, and apartments on the upper floors of the building were damaged.
Preliminarily, there are no reported injuries.
