The situation in the Chasiv Yar area is currently very tense, following the Russian occupiers' capture of a refractory plant, which has allowed the enemy to gain tactical ground within the urban development.

This was reported by military-political analyst Dmitry Snegirev during a broadcast on the FREEДОМ channel.

"However, it is important to note the fierce nature of the resistance from the Ukrainian Defense Forces. This refers to what is known as tactical defense, where the losses for the occupiers are simply colossal," stated Dmitry Snegirev.

According to the expert, this is vividly illustrated by the fact that the enemy, in order to avoid retrieving the bodies of their fallen soldiers and to conceal their massive personnel losses, has set fire to a collector near the city of Chasiv Yar containing around a hundred of their deceased. In this way, the occupiers' command hopes to reduce panic among the troops and avoid compensation payments to the families of the deceased.

Dmitry Snegirev noted that this is not the first time Russian occupiers have burned the bodies of their comrades. A peak in such actions was observed in 2014-2015, but during the large-scale invasion, there have also been multiple reports of so-called mobile crematoria.

"In the past, in the Luhansk region, the analytical department of the organization 'Prava Sprava' documented instances where the bodies of Russian occupiers were disposed of in mine shafts to prevent the possibility of identifying the occupiers and to hide the mass casualties among their ranks," the expert added.
