The Russian command is attempting to create a threat to the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine not only from the east and south but also from the north, around the village of Dvurechna.
A military analyst and coordinator of the "Information Resistance" group, Konstantin Moshovets, shared this information on his Telegram channel reported.
According to the military expert, enemy units have crossed the Oskol River south of the village and established a second "company" foothold along the general direction of Masyutovka - Zakhidne.
"This persistent desire of the enemy to force the Oskol River at several points (a sort of 'Krynki in reverse'), especially during a less favorable time of year (the autumn-early winter muddy season, with the Oskol not yet frozen) specifically in the area of Dvurechna, likely indicates that this segment of the front is receiving considerable attention in the overall plan for the offensive of the Western Group against Kupiansk," – stated Konstantin Moshovets.
The expert noted that on the segment south of Kupiansk-Uzlovyi, where the occupiers have advanced to the Oskol River between Kolesnykivka and Kruhlyakivka, they have not yet been able to significantly expand their "control area" to the villages of Hlushkivka and Zahrizovo. This is currently hindering their overall offensive on Kupiansk-Uzlovyi along the Oskol from the south, as they remain vulnerable in the "narrow corridor" they have extended to the river.
Konstantin Moshovets explained that the main direction of the enemy's strike is the village of Kivsharivka from the side of Kolesnykivka towards Pyschany (lower), and it would be logical for the occupiers to increase their efforts in this direction, but instead, they are trying to force the Oskol near Dvurechna.
