In the city of Varash, Rivne region, a driver ran over a mother with her child in a stroller who was crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.
As reported by the police of Rivne region, the infant died at the scene of the accident.
On January 21, around 16:45, a driver struck a 32-year-old local resident on Parkova Street.
The woman was crossing the roadway at an unregulated pedestrian crossing with a baby stroller.
As a result of the impact, the infant fell out of the stroller; the child was hospitalized in intensive care, but the life of the boy, who was only one month old, could not be saved by the doctors.
Approximately an hour later, the child passed away.
The woman was unharmed; however, she is being examined by medical professionals. The driver of the car was sober but stated that he was distracted by a phone call.
