The Russian occupying forces are likely to enter the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region and begin combat operations there, but this does not mean that the enemy's advance will pose a threat to Dnipro.

The Russians are quite far from the regional center, and the chances of them reaching it are very slim. This was stated by military expert, veteran of the Russo-Ukrainian war, and reserve major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexey Hetman, in an interview with Glavred.

The military expert reminded that since February of last year, the maximum distance of the enemy's advance has been 40 km, which cost them enormous losses. Moreover, this offensive operation was quite well-prepared, involving a large number of personnel and equipment, but the overall result was unsuccessful.

According to the expert, the pace of the Russian occupiers' advance is comparable to that of a snail, which moves at 8 cm per minute; however, it is still movement, and it should not be underestimated.

"Therefore, in order for them to cover the distance to at least the suburbs of Dnipro, they need several years. Beyond that, no gates or paths will open. You often hear information that they will capture certain settlements and then move freely over large distances – they won't; our troops are there," – stated Alexey Hetman.
